Talk Description Bioinformatics runs hundreds of jobs across gigabytes of data, so it depends on workflow managers to track dependencies, resume failures, and keep results reproducible. We will build the same small DNA sequencing pipeline twice, in Snakemake and in Nextflow, using plain Python scripts, and compare what each tool makes easy and where it gets in the way. You do not need a biology background.
