Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with events including a keynote by Karine Jean-Pierre at Eastern Michigan University on Jan.

Ann Arbor Restaurant Week will run from Jan.
18 to Jan. 23. Forty-one restaurants will offer prix fixe menus starting at $15 for lunch, with additional a la carte choices; organizers urge diners to make reservations early to support local cuisine (hosted by the Main Street Area Association).
The 96-year-old Ann Arbor Civic Theatre at 322 W.
Ann St. will move at the end of August due to its landlord selling the building — board members remain confident it will keep its tradition despite tough finances. In December, supporters were asked to help meet a $60,000 fundraising goal.
