- ➤ Utilidata at its 15,000 sqft Ann Arbor headquarters (lab) is developing a smart meter system in partnership with Nvidia to improve real-time power management in data centers; the firm will test the technology in local centers and expects to add 25 full-time jobs with a $250,000 state grant. - ➤ Sheetz will open 14 new restaurant and convenience store locations in Southeast Michigan this year, each hiring at least 30 workers to add over 400 new jobs and offer Made-to-Order food 24 hours a day. - ➤ Trucks hauled earth from a 575-acre site in Saline Township yesterday as work began on the Stargate data center for OpenAI and Oracle. Local officials reached a settlement with Related Digital for $14 million plus protected land to address community concerns. MLive
