- ➤ Truck traffic increased along Michigan Avenue as more trucks hauled concrete for a new data center under construction near Saline (an estimated 77 extra trucks on Monday), and the heavy flow is expected to ease in March once a concrete batch plant is in use. MLive
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Michigan utilities have reduced outage times by nearly one hour over the past six years, officials said, as investments in grid upgrades and hardened infrastructure help restore power faster during storms — though higher rates are funding continued improvements. MLive

- ➤ University of Michigan professor John Leahy died on Dec. 21, 2025 in Ann Arbor after complications from a fall (he was celebrated for his energy and generosity with colleagues and students). UM faculty remembered his vibrant contributions to teaching and research. MLive
- ➤ Cybersecurity expert Ryan Meray (with C!Tech Solutions) advises social media users to use a secondary email and an authenticator app for two-factor authentication instead of phone numbers to prevent account changes.
