  • Catholic parishes are hosting fish fries on Fridays through March 27 for Lent. Local churches offer dine-in and takeout meals featuring fried and baked fish with sides (prices range from $16 to $18).  MLive
  • The indoor ice arena at Veterans Memorial Park is closed for the season due to a compressor failure, disrupting high school hockey playoffs and moving games to USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth. Refunds are issued and skating will be offered at the Buhr Park Outdoor Ice Arena (2751 Packard Road).  MLive

  • Cat owners in Ann Arbor are urged to stop feeding Quest Cat Chicken Recipe Freeze Dried Nuggets sold in 10-ounce bags by Go Raw LLC because low vitamin B1 levels may cause illness. Return the bags for a refund + contact the manufacturer if you have concerns.  MLive
  • The Washtenaw Health Project in Ypsilanti reported a 31.5% drop in Affordable Care Act enrollments during the 2026 open enrollment period as rising premium costs forced families to choose between health coverage and basic needs. The nonprofit enrolled 551 residents compared to 804 last year & federal subsidies expired at the end of 2025.  MLive
