EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ann Arbor Public Schools secured a $5.03 million grant to buy 10 electric buses as part of a Michigan DOE Clean Bus program; the buses are expected to arrive late fall to help cut operating costs, and district leaders will reexamine capital spending amid rising material and labor expenses. - ➤ County road officials announced that the Werkner Road project in Sylvan Township near Chelsea now plans to remove 42 trees instead of 48 after residents signed a petition; road work using curb+gutter drainage is set to begin in three to four weeks along the stretch by a city water plant. MLive
