- ➤ Blueprints for Pangaea, a University of Michigan nonprofit that redirects surplus medical supplies, is hosting a benefit gala at the Tauber Colloquium at the Ross School of Business on Saturday, March 28 (6-9 p.m.) featuring an undergraduate research symposium and a Shark Tank-style pitch competition judged by Eli Lilly executives. - ➤ Ann Arbor’s sustainability office will host its 10,000 Trees Initiative giveaway on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mitchell Elementary School (3550 Pittsview Drive); residents must register starting Saturday, March 21 to pick tree seedlings and join a Climate Teach-In from 1 to 5:30 p.m. MLive

- ➤ The University of Michigan plans to invest $8.6M to repair the Huron Tunnel near its medical center campus, restoring 300 ft + connected vaults and updating essential systems. The UM Board of Regents will vote on the proposal on Thursday, Mar. 19, with construction set to finish in spring. MLive
