- ➤ Ann Arbor police are investigating vandalism on a home in the 2000 block of Londonderry Road — where messages like 'Free Palestine', 'Divest' and 'No Honor in Genocide' were spray painted and an object broke a bedroom window between 9 p.m. March 15 and 8 a.m. March 16 — and are asking anyone with information to come forward. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Department of Education announced on March 14 that the University of Michigan is one of 45 universities under investigation for alleged race-exclusionary practices in its graduate programs (the probe centers on potential Title VI violations linked to a nonprofit's admission policies). The university has not yet responded to the inquiry. MLive

- ➤ Multiple water main breaks led to a boil water advisory in Ann Arbor for residents north of Plymouth Road from Traver Road to U.S. 23, and the road was closed for repairs. Officials said the advisory will be lifted in 48 hours and urged residents to boil their water before use. MLive
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ On March 17, Ann Arbor City Council voted 10-0 to direct City Administrator Milton Dohoney to negotiate a legal agreement for a housing development at 2857 Packard Road. The proposal will let Robertson Brothers Homes build 35 single-story, detached condominiums with features such as a stormwater pond and reduced carbon emissions to meet demand for downsized housing for residents over 65 - an update is expected by June 30. - ➤ Today, the Michigan Wolverines began spring practice in Ann Arbor as new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey (new offensive coordinator) said that freshman QB Bryce Underwood (former five-star recruit) may start on Day 1 this fall if he is ready. Lindsey praised Underwood’s maturity and added that his performance in practice will determine his role for the upcoming season. MLive
