  • Four small business owners won $11,000 in funding at the Lake Trust Foundation’s first entrepreneur pitch competition after completing a free online training program. Winners, including Ann Arbor’s C’Mon Betty, earned between $1,000 and $5,000 based on their growth plans.  MLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan raised $17,037 on Giving Blueday (Mar. 18) to support pediatric programs at Mott Children’s Hospital, surpassing its $10K goal with matching funds from the university. The group will continue fundraising ahead of its 24-hour VictorThon on Apr. 18-19, delivering further support to children.  MLive
  • Washtenaw County Health Department announced on Saturday a fourth suspected measles case, a close contact of a March 11 case, and noted March 17 exposure times at a college classroom and a grocery store.
