- ➤ City officials said Ann Arbor’s east side will have longer fire response times for 14 months while a new station replaces an old one from 1981—officials say the update is needed—and a pitbull rescued from a dumpster is now recovering at the Humane Society while an endangered rattlesnake was intentionally killed at UM’s botanical gardens. The Michigan basketball team—underdogs if you will—will play top-seeded Auburn tonight and local dream team posters will be available next week. MLive

- ➤ Charges were dismissed for protester Edward Trager (61) and Gabriel Vieira (26) who were arrested during a November sit-in at the University of Michigan as a motion by the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office dropped charges of attempted resisting and obstructing a police officer on March 17 before Judge Miriam Perry. - ➤ A protected Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake was killed at Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum on March 21st, and the gardens reminded visitors to be kind to snakes. The gardens said the snake helps control rodents and that harming it is illegal — a reminder to protect our local wildlife. All About Ann Arbor
