  • Esperion, an Ann Arbor-based pharmaceutical company, completed its acquisition of Corstasis Therapeutics Inc. to expand its cardiometabolic portfolio with Enbumyst (FDA-approved nasal spray treatment) which received approval in Sept. 2025.  MLive
  • The University of Michigan selected Huntington National Bank as its official consumer partner on April 6, giving over 100,000 students, faculty, and staff access to fee-free checking, MCard linking, and internship opportunities on campus (with six new ATMs planned).  MLive

CULTURE NEWS

  • Guggenheim fellow Emma Straub will discuss her new novel American Fantasy in conversation with talk show host April Baer on Saturday, April 18 at the University of Michigan’s Rackham Auditorium — tickets cost $34.59 and include a signed copy, with doors opening at 6 p.m.  MLive
  • The Brain Plasticity Ukulele Collective will perform at The Ark on April 30 at 7:30 p.m. (316 S. Main St.) to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters, with Mike and Lisa O’Connell leading a benefit concert that supports brain health through music.  MLive
  • Literati Bookstore will host celebrity chef Eddie Huang for a new novel release of 'Come Undone' on Thursday, June 25, at 124 E. Washington St. Tickets cost $34.59 + doors open at 6 p.m. for the one-hour presentation.  MLive

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Police responded on March 26 at a UM law school residence where they found 26-year-old student Corey Michael Denn unresponsive & pronounced dead with toxicology tests pending; his funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 10 in Beverly, Massachusetts.  MLive

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Hines and Goettsch Partners presented plans yesterday for a 17-story luxury apartment tower with 281 units on the old Kline’s lot—followed by a second phase adding 221 more apartments downtown; City Council will review the sale later this month, with construction planned for Q2 2027.  MLive

SPORTS NEWS

  • Michigan Wolverines won the NCAA championship on Monday, Apr. 6, beating the UConn Huskies 69-63 at Lucas Oil Stadium - their first title since 1989 and a record 37 win season under coach Dusty May.  All About Ann Arbor
