- ➤ The Washtenaw Housing Alliance has launched a shared housing program to match older adults with extra bedrooms with those needing affordable housing and companionship. A Home Provider Café is set for Thursday, Apr. 30 at the Ann Arbor District Library - Pittsfield Branch. MLive

- ➤ Blimpy Burger at 304 S. Ashley St. has delayed its reopening to June due to ongoing construction (the original plan was for an end-of-May return) as the team updates the restaurant’s space. MLive
- ➤ Buffalo Wild Wings at 205 S. State St. in downtown Ann Arbor will close after more than 20 years as it serves its final customers on Sunday, May 3. Manager Paul Creely said the closure reflects lower consumer spending while the other location remains open. MLive

- ➤ Award-winning jazz organist Brian Charette returns with his longtime trio Jordan Young and Ralph Tope to Blue Llama Jazz Club downtown on Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. for an evening of funky organ jams. MLive

- ➤ The University of Michigan's Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX Office reminds campus members during Sexual Assault Awareness Month to complete prevention education and report misconduct within 48 hours to access support services such as academic and housing adjustments. - ➤ Washtenaw Community College will host its annual President’s Leadership Recognition Luncheon on Apr. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Morris Lawrence Building to honor local leaders + unveil the 41st Regional Economic Outlook marking its 60th anniversary. MLive
- ➤ A University of Michigan program that pairs students with older adults is set to expand nationally after receiving a grant from Government Employees Health Association. The Perfect Pair initiative will add new chapters in Miami — Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City to its existing Ann Arbor presence. MLive

- ➤ Washtenaw County has added two new food scrap composting drop-off sites in Dexter and Salem Township as part of its expanding pilot program that began in Ypsilanti last November—residents can join the effort during International Compost Awareness Week from May 3-9. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On April 20, Ann Arbor City Council approved a sale agreement — turning a downtown parking lot into a modern library, housing units, and public space.
