- ➤ The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred just before midnight on May 7 at a home on Hewitt Road (north of Congress Street) in Ypsilanti Township when a 74 year old father fatally shot his 34 year old son during a domestic dispute and no arrests were made. - ➤ Residents near Arbor Hills Landfill voiced concerns about a proposed expansion that would add a new landfill north of the current site—residents point to odor issues as neighborhoods have grown since the original dump began 50 years ago.
