- ➤ The Veterans Memorial Ice Arena will remain closed for the 2026 — 27 skating season after an EF-1 tornado damaged the facility on April 15. City officials said the adjacent pool will stay closed through Memorial Day as repairs continue. All About Ann Arbor
- ➤ End Gun Violence Michigan is hosting a remembrance and call to action event at 1679 Broadway with doors opening at 5 p.m. to honor gun violence victims — the National Alliance for Mental Health will lead free discussions at the Ann Arbor library on Wednesday, June 24 and Tuesday, July 7. MLive

- ➤ Arbor Farms Market on West Stadium Boulevard reopened today after a fire on Sunday damaged its exterior sign. Health inspectors confirmed the store is safe with only minor smoke damage and no injuries reported. MLive
- ➤ Busch's Fresh Food Market on South Main St. will begin renovations later this year while remaining open to customers. Planned updates include a new Starbucks, cheese department, expanded hot food options and a temporary three-week deli closure to improve the shopping experience. MLive

- ➤ University of Michigan’s federal research grants generated nearly $396 million in spending last year, supporting over 16,000 jobs and benefiting local businesses while adding more than $78.5 million in Washtenaw County. - ➤ Anchored by a recent air rights agreement, the new downtown Ann Arbor library project is planning two towers connected by a pedestrian breezeway (design details pending) over Library Lane, and public input will be welcomed (within 60 to 90 days). - ➤ At Blind Pig in Ann Arbor on March 6, nurse Amy Rowe was on a surprise date when a patron passed out during comedian Emily Catalano's set; she quickly directed others to call 911 and escorted him to an ambulance, with her swift action captured in a viral video. MLive

- ➤ Michigan’s softball team kicks off its NCAA Tournament run in the Norman regional on Friday when it faces Kansas at 6 p.m. on ESPNU — the team is aiming to advance past regionals for the first time since 2016. MLive
- ➤ Michigan's baseball team continued its surge with a series win over Minnesota this past weekend, marking their seventh straight Big Ten series win and boosting their NCAA Tournament resume. The Wolverines travel to Kent State today and host Ohio State later this week to close the season. MLive
