GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Ann Arbor officials are finalizing a new comprehensive land-use plan to allow more housing across the city, with the draft setting up high-density hub districts, low-rise residential areas, and mixed-use transition districts. SPORTS NEWS

  • Major sportsbooks have set the Michigan Wolverines' regular-season win total at 8.5, with many heavy odds on the over while Caesars Sportsbook lists 9.5 with a heavy vig for the under — the team will face nonconference games against New Mexico and Central Michigan and Big Ten matchups with Michigan State and Ohio State.  MLive
  • Michigan baseball tried to come back after falling 7-2 but lost 8-7 to Indiana on Thursday at home in their first game of the final regular season series. The Wolverines, still on the NCAA Tournament bubble, saw a tied game break when they could not get a hit in the bottom of the ninth — their pitching let Indiana get many hits.  MLive
