- ➤ The Ann Arbor District Library is offering three temporary lobby shops that cost from $100 to $250 a month for local small businesses at its main branch on Fifth Avenue. Business owners must apply by midnight June 1 and the renovated spaces will be available for six months at a time—helping to bring fresh ideas downtown. MLive
- ➤ Local bars and restaurants in Ann Arbor spent $1,871,298 on liquor in 2024, which is lower than their $2,139,034 purchase in 2023. The Last Word led the list with $288,002 while Knight's Steakhouse ranked second with $230,783. MLive

- ➤ Buster Robbins was charged with the 1989 rape and murder of Beverly Wivell in Washtenaw County after DNA evidence linked him to the crime and prosecutors noted ongoing investigations including child pornography, and a judge set his bond at $5 million on May 15th. ClickOnDetroit.com
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ann Arbor Public Schools are preparing next year's budget and have moved past a $25M shortfall while officials wait for state lawmakers to finalize school aid amid federal spending cuts.
