- ➤ Black Pearl at 302 S. Main St. expanded its dining hours on May 6 so that lunch is now served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday; the upgrade added a new sushi kitchen + extra staff while offering favorites like fish tacos and lobster rolls at lower prices. MLive

- ➤ The Michigan Theater will host 'Brains On Live: Your Brain Is Magic' at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at 603 E. - ➤ University of Michigan will ask its board in a May 21 Dearborn meeting to boost its short-term borrowing limit from $300M to $600M plus seek up to $750M in new revenue bonds to fund capital projects and refinance existing debt. MLive

- ➤ A free symposium on community stewardship of archival collections takes place tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Leinweber Computer Science and Information Building (2200 Hayward St.) in Ann Arbor and will include three panel discussions followed by a reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. MLive
- ➤ Washtenaw Community College froze in-district tuition at $99 per credit hour for the next academic year after a board meeting on April 28, and the college will lower online course fees to the same rate while voters decide on a 0.85-mill operating tax renewal at the Aug. 4 ballot. MLive
