- ➤ A 47-year-old woman from Dexter died in a single-vehicle crash off I-94 near Ann Arbor on May 24 when her vehicle drifted into the woods and struck a tree—police say alcohol appeared to be a factor and the crash is under investigation. MLive

- ➤ The Nichols Arboretum's W.E. Upjohn Peony Garden will be in full bloom from May 26 until June 8, offering a short time to see over 800 heirloom peony varieties. Free weekend shuttles from Mitchell Field (1900 Fuller Road) will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 24-25, May 31-June 1, and June 7-8 to ease parking challenges. MLive
