- ➤ University of Michigan has chosen Coca-Cola as its exclusive beverage supplier after evaluating several companies and seeking input from over 3,000 community members, and officials will sign a multi-year pouring rights contract that provides student scholarships and sponsorship funding. Coca-Cola products will be available campuswide when the fall term begins. MLive

- ➤ AAA data from Tuesday, May 26 show Michigan drivers paid an average of $4.61 per gallon, with Ann Arbor recording $4.60. Experts note that lower oil prices after the weekend may ease pressure & gas prices are expected to remain high during the summer travel season. MLive
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Michigan began repairs on Burton Memorial Tower’s carillon clappers on May 22, closing the chamber to the public as 30 clappers are replaced to improve playability and reduce injuries. New clappers will be reinstalled in August and performances will resume afterward. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
