  • Thousands of blooming peonies were destroyed overnight at the University of Michigan’s W.E. Upjohn Peony Garden, and Tony Kolenic said the damage shows disregard for its more than 800 cherished plants. He added that the resilient garden is expected to reach peak bloom this weekend (offering hope for its recovery).  MLive
  • Richard Magner, longtime owner of Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger who believed in second chances, died March 26 at age 74 in his Ann Arbor home. He supported recovery efforts and brought art and care to his community—helping workers and customers alike as his family plans to keep the restaurant open.  MLive

  • Michigan autism advocates and officials criticized RFK Jr.’s remarks, saying his call to label autism as an epidemic and his pledge for massive testing misrepresented the condition — they pointed out that increased diagnoses are due to better awareness and screening, not a sudden outbreak.  MLive
