Nichols Arboretum staff discovered the vandalized peony garden early Sunday, June 1 at 6:14 a.m.—about a third of the plants were cut and roughly 100 flyers with conflict-related messages were found, sparking anger among residents as the University condemned the act as wholly unacceptable.

Thursday’s Sonic Lunch concert series will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Liberty & Division with Joe Hertler opening before Mike Posner and Brody Jenner perform at noon, while Posner will bring his family.

Ann Arbor City Council approved contracts on Monday, June 2, totaling about $1.4 million to install solar panels at Larcom City Hall & Justice Center, Fire Station 1 & Bicentennial Park, with the park panels paired with electric vehicle charging stations.

The contracts, funded by a federal grant, will upgrade city properties as the community works toward a carbon-neutral goal by 2030.

Coaches are advancing strength training and recruiting efforts on campus so the team will be ready for the fall opener.
