Ann Arbor historian Susan Wineberg found Ella Hall’s old recipes and helped bring them to light in a new book published by the University of Michigan Press.

The recipe book was celebrated at a Juneteenth dinner at Zingerman’s Roadhouse on Tuesday, June 16.

Crews in Downtown Dexter have been building a roundabout that links Main Street, Chelsea-Dexter Road and Island Lake Road; local business owners report revenue loss from detours.

The work (started May 4) is set to finish by September to improve traffic flow and safety.

Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said in a letter that new measures such as jersey patches, in-field logos and digital scoreboard ads are being considered — along with strategic sponsorships — to boost revenue while protecting Michigan Stadium’s look, feel and soul, with funds set to support student-athletes.
