ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 48-year-old Taylor man working at a construction site was killed when a gravel truck tipped while dumping its load at an Ann Arbor site on June 19 at 2:30 p.m.—emergency responders reported extensive damage to the truck cab.  MLive

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Drivers in Ann Arbor will face a full closure on State Street (north of South University Avenue and south of East William Street) until July 11 as crews remove and replace the pavement. County road work will also restrict travel on Church Street, Nixon Road and several other routes for utility and construction projects.  MLive

SPORTS NEWS

  • John Volker, a former Princeton running back from Fair Haven, N.J. who led in rushing in 2023 & 2024, has arrived in Ann Arbor and will suit up for Michigan this season to add experience to a crowded running back room. He said Ann Arbor feels like a classic college town compared to Princeton’s bubble and he is ready to bring his win-first attitude to the team.  MLive
