- ➤ DropTop Pizza opened last October in the former Smokehouse 52 space on W. Michigan Ave. in Saline + it quickly won over families with Detroit-style pizza, smashed burgers made using a local blend, and milkshakes prepared with local dairy. The restaurant added happy hour specials from 4 to 5 p.m. + its owners plan to expand outdoor seating and prepare for the Detroit Burger Battle on June 29. MLive
- ➤ Ann Arbor mom Lauren Sharette founded Mothering Meals to cook warm meals at new mothers' homes so busy families can focus on caring for their babies — her service offers a base package starting at $65 and partners with Mama’s Network. MLive

- ➤ At Willow Run airport in Ypsilanti, the Thunder over Michigan airshow thrilled a sold-out crowd on Saturday, June 21 — featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, TB-3 Avenger bombers, and aerobatic pilots. Tickets for Sunday’s event have sold out — and will present a similar display that benefits the Michigan Flight Museum. MLive

- ➤ Dr. Azar Oliaei Motlagh, a University of Michigan Hospital resident, said she has not been able to reach her parents in Iran for several days amid a near-total communications blackout caused by wartime restrictions.
