- ➤ On Saturday, June 21, the Ann Arbor Fire Department responded to a 911 call near Bandemer Park and rescued four kayakers overboard while finding a fifth clinging to an overturned kayak — the following day they assisted a jumper from Gallup Bridge who sustained minor injuries. ClickOnDetroit.com
- ➤ On Saturday, June 21, the Ann Arbor Fire Department rescued five people from the Huron River at Argo Park after bystanders aided distressed kayakers and found a man clinging to a kayak near Bandemer Park, and on Sunday they treated a man with minor injuries after he jumped off a bridge at Gallup Park during a weekend heat wave.
