- ➤ Mike’s Deli in Chelsea has been a local favorite since it opened in 1992 and is now owned by Ann Arbor native Todd Bennetts who keeps classic recipes like the Stingray Club and Bulldog sandwiches. The deli serves over 80 sandwich options, uses Michigan-made products, and will offer Thursday evening service during Chelsea’s Sounds and Sights summer series until July 31 — customers can also place pickup orders online. - ➤ Miny's Mexican Restaurant opened its second location on Broadway Street last November—offering affordable authentic tacos with varied protein options and house-made horchata as a take-out option near campus for local students. MLive
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Jack Ivankovic, a Michigan hockey goalie recruit, was selected 58th overall by the Nashville Predators in the second round and is expected to compete for the Wolverines’ starting job next season. He recorded a 25-12-5 season with a 3.05 goals-against average and won four gold medals with Team Canada + making him the third Wolverine chosen in this round. MLive
- ➤ Cole McKinney, a center from the U.S. National Team Development Program, was selected 53rd overall by the San Jose Sharks on Saturday—he will begin his college career this fall at Michigan and is expected to play a key center role for coach Brandon Naurato. - ➤ Michigan’s hockey program set a new record in its historic NHL draft after eight Wolverines and recruits were selected—four in the first two rounds—with one player from last season’s roster.
