- ➤ Residents in Milan Township oppose DTE Energy’s plan to drill a 4,500‑foot test well to study if the soil can store CO₂, fearing the project could worsen local well water shortages. Township Supervisor Mark Bogi said the community has a history of rejecting projects that risk water supply—stressing local concerns—and DTE maintains the well will use safe, proven technology. - ➤ On July 15, 2025, Ann Arbor City Council outlined a proposal at a six hour Planning Commission meeting to upzone single-family neighborhoods so developers can build up to three-unit triplexes by right with a three story limit & require review for any added density; officials will soon vote on a resolution to further revise the city’s comprehensive land-use plan.
