- ➤ The Ann Arbor Housing Commission warns tenants not to take discarded couches and asks them to sign a bedbug addendum+which outlines their role in managing infestations as the commission spends tens of thousands of dollars each year on pest control. - ➤ One person was injured and taken to hospital when a fire broke out in a three-story condo in Ypsilanti Township on July 20 at 4:17 p.m.—firefighters responded to the 1700 block of Cliffs Landing. MLive

- ➤ The 66th Ann Arbor Art Fair attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors (with near-perfect weather on July 17 and 18) until impending storms forced the festival to end early on Saturday. - ➤ Dexter Community Schools is inviting parents, students and local residents to join focus groups for input on a new 60,000 square-foot indoor sports fieldhouse under a $242 million bond approved last May. - ➤ The Ann Arbor City Council approved the Braun Court redevelopment agreement Monday night, July 21 with an 8—0 vote. The plan will replace the former commercial courtyard in Kerrytown with a new seven-story building offering nearly 90,000 square feet of two- and three-bedroom condos. MLive

- ➤ Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti—key for Michigan—wrote a letter urging the NCAA to impose no further penalties for the Wolverines, and the letter was read at a June infractions hearing in Indianapolis, ESPN reported. The NCAA is expected to announce its final decision soon. MLive
- ➤ Cleveland.com released the 2025 Big Ten football preseason poll with Michigan placing fifth—receiving one first-place vote—and Michigan State tied for 13th, setting expectations for the upcoming season.
