- ➤ Wildfire smoke drifting from Canada is causing hazy skies and worsening allergy symptoms for Ann Arbor residents, with reports of increased coughing, sneezing, and eye irritation. Health officials advise people with heart or lung issues, seniors, and children to stay indoors during air quality alerts—especially when harmful ultrafine particles are present. MLive

- ➤ Ann Arbor officials are reviewing offers from developers for two city-owned properties downtown; one lot on Ashley Street has four proposals offering between $12 million and $17.5 million, and a site on Washington Street has three proposals ranging from $1 million to $2 million — each plan including affordable housing or sustainability components — while council approval is expected in September. - ➤ Michigan football's first-year offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey said the receivers must improve their play during fall camp to boost the team's passing game in 2025. He added that players will compete for more snaps and smart plays to fill the gap left by a lack of a true No. 1 receiver in 2024 — a challenge the team plans to face in camp — as it works to step up its performance. - ➤ Michigan Wolverines tight end Marlin Klein recorded a 6.89-second time on the three-cone drill & a 4.25-second shuttle time that would have led combine tight ends, according to Bruce Feldman.
