On Saturday, Aug. 9, Growing Hope partnered with Washtenaw County (Office of Community and Economic Development) to launch the first Ypsi Food Fest at 301 W.
Michigan Ave (free and open to the public) in downtown Ypsilanti where more than 30 local vendors offered food, live music, and lawn games for families.

Chef Ji Hye Kim, founder of Miss Kim, opened Little Kim at 407 N.
Fifth Avenue in Kerrytown on July 31 as a joint venture with Zingerman's. The restaurant serves all-vegetarian dishes—using tofu, tempeh, and beans instead of meat—and plans to expand its mini-mart offerings soon.
