Good morning, Ann Arbor. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 18th of August.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Kilwins at 107 E. Liberty St. will close on Dec. 31 after 42 years as low foot traffic and rising costs have hurt its business — the shop saw fewer customers as more people worked from home. Owner Chera Tramontin, who took over from her mother, said she is moving on to run a yoga studio in the same building — a change that marks a new chapter in local business trends.  MLive

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A new single-lane roundabout will be built at the intersection of Dexter-Chelsea Road and Island Lake Road — near downtown Dexter in Scio Township — to improve traffic flow. Residents can join upcoming information sessions to ask questions about the roundabout and signal upgrades.  MLive
