Liberty St. permanently closed after five years, and its space will become a Yemeni coffee shop by Caffeena Coffee House—which will offer some signature Tea Ninja drinks while expanding from its branches in Charlotte and Manhattan. - ➤ Ann Arbor police reported four incidents of a peeping tom using a GoPro to film female students' windows near the University of Michigan campus during move-in week — patrols have been increased and residents are urged to report any suspicious activity. WXYZ

- ➤ Ann Arbor's Planning Commission finished its edits on August 19 to the draft comprehensive land-use plan that now proposes upzoning single-family neighborhoods to allow more multi-unit housing—such as three-story triplexes demonstrated by a recent project on Hoover Avenue. Some commissioners questioned the City Council's direction to limit by-right housing density in low-rise areas, saying the plan’s logic and politics remained unclear after the 2019 downzoning. MLive
