EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Nearly 17,000 students returned on Monday, Aug. 25 to Ann Arbor Public Schools for the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The first day followed a half-day schedule and full days will resume Tuesday, Sept. 2—teachers welcomed students across several schools. MLive

- ➤ Ann Arbor named Malisa McCreedy as its new transportation manager effective Monday, Aug. 25. She brings over 20 years of public-sector experience—having led multimodal projects in Gainesville and other cities—and will work with city staff to improve safety by making walking, biking and bus travel easier.
