- ➤ MDOT officials said Ann Arbor’s M-14 bridge over the Huron River and Barton Road needs a $150 million replacement because its 1956 design has passed its service life — over 100 state bridges are at risk of closure by 2035 if funding is not secured. MLive

Rashida Tlaib and University of Michigan alumna Eaman Ali held a press conference outside the Ruthven Administration building on August 27th to denounce the disciplinary actions taken against pro-Palestinian protesters—including Ali’s firing as a student employee—while university officials defended their policy for safe and orderly protests. - ➤ Crews in Pittsfield Township are testing nearly one mile of Ellsworth Road with a new rubber asphalt made from scrap tires.
