  • The Brown Jug in Ann Arbor filed a trademark for Buckeye Tears for its drinks but faced a legal challenge from Ohio State that says the mark may confuse fans—The restaurant must respond by Oct. 6 and the case will continue into 2027.  MLive
  • Toledo-based Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar will open its second location later this year in the ground floor space of The Standard at 405 S Main St on South Main and William Streets in downtown Ann Arbor — the building’s first commercial tenant since 2022 — and plans to serve pizza made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients along with vegan and gluten-free options. The restaurant will complete setup and begin hiring staff as it prepares to open before 2026.  MLive
