- ➤ The Michigan Department of Natural Resources confirmed the first cases of epizootic hemorrhagic disease in free-ranging white-tailed deer today in Eaton—Jackson—Van Buren—Washtenaw counties. Officials stated the virus is fatal to deer but poses no risk to humans or pets and that venison from affected areas is safe to eat. MLive
- ➤ Ann Arbor City Council approved $108,500 on Tuesday, Sept.2 for the purchase of a 0.26-acre lot along Fuller Road to join the Furstenberg Nature Area—renowned for its hiking trails and wildlife. - ➤ Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan are partnering on a $12.7 million project to install advanced C-V2X technology at 51 spots in the city to make travel safer and smoother.
