CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A police video captured a driver blowing through a stop sign at Ann Street and Fourth Avenue on Sept. 2, with no collisions or injuries— the driver was pulled over and issued a ticket with fines and points on their license. MLive
- ➤ Eight Michigan men face federal charges for conspiring to ship hundreds of stolen vehicles overseas—investigators say the scheme, uncovered by the Dearborn Police Department and federal agencies, involved over 350 vehicles from July 2023 until August. MLive
- ➤ Shonquez Lawson was sentenced to 25-50 years in prison on Aug. 29 by Washtenaw County Trial Judge Patrick Conlin for fatally shooting Antonio Brown in a Ypsilanti Township apartment a year ago—he will be eligible for parole when he is in his 50s. MLive
