  • The Ann Arbor Housing Commission and Avalon Housing will open a waitlist on Oct. 1 for affordable Dunbar Tower apartments — under construction at Fourth Avenue and Catherine Street in downtown Ann Arbor.  MLive

  • On Sept. 6, the No. 15 Michigan Wolverines lost 24-13 to the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners at Memorial Stadium—John Mateer passed for 270 yards and Deion Burks caught 101 yards—dropping Michigan to a 1-1 record.  All About Ann Arbor
  • The Michigan Wolverines trailed 14-0 in Norman on Sept. 6 after freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood and running back Justice Haynes had a heated altercation that required teammates and coaches to separate them — Oklahoma dominated by holding Michigan to 118 total yards.   • Jim Czirr, a former 235-pound Michigan center, recalled playing in the 1976 Orange Bowl against the legendary Selmon brothers—his play earned NFL draft interest.
