ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Sept. 28, Ann Arbor fire crews rescued a Michigan Medicine worker trapped in an elevator at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital by turning off the elevator’s energy system and lowering themselves with ropes—avoiding building damage—while the worker remained uninjured.  ClickOnDetroit.com

  • Two new Vietnamese eateries have taken over the closed Taste Kitchen and Red Lotus on East Liberty Street. Saigon Social House is in soft opening and waiting for its liquor license—while Block & Brew Cafe will open soon and will let customers pay with crypto.  MLive

CULTURE NEWS

  • John Mayer and Zach Bryan played what was said to be the biggest ticketed concert in U.S. history at Michigan Stadium on September 27—Mayer played first and then joined Bryan on stage—while other acts added more music for the crowd.  MLive

  • The University of Michigan School of Dentistry celebrates its 150th anniversary today as it operates from a modern research complex on North Campus, evolving from its start in a single home in 1875.
