- ➤ A final NTSB report revealed new details about the 2023 crash of a privately owned MiG-23 at the Thunder Over Michigan air show at Willow Run Airport near Ypsilanti — Daniel Filer, 61, flew the jet with Mark Ruff as his back-seater. MLive
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ My Future Fund reached a $2M milestone by helping over 21,000 Ann Arbor students save for college+the program was started with Washtenaw County funds and continues to support early scholarship savings. MLive
- ➤ The University of Michigan and Michigan State University showed differences for fall enrollment as Michigan reported a record 53,488 students while MSU had 51,838 students—both schools also spent hundreds of millions on local businesses and saw contrasting national rankings and endowments. Michigan ranked No.20 nationally with a $21.2 billion endowment, and MSU ranked No.64 with a $4.41 billion endowment, while each boosted donations and fundraising totals. MLive

- ➤ Some NICU babies at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital wore tiny maize and blue or green and white gear ahead of Saturday’s football game between Michigan and Michigan State. The hospital (ranked first in the state and 31st nationally) used advanced fetal treatments to care for its patients. MLive
