- ➤ Retired University of Michigan ROTC instructor and former Air Force member Christine Baker started a garden at Bakers Acres (her home near Dexter) to grow fresh produce for loved ones and supply healthy food to the university. MLive
- ➤ Ann Arbor officials have named Nicole Adelman as the new executive director of the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County to tackle the growing homeless population. She brings years of experience in housing and homelessness and will work from the Robert J. Delonis Center on W. Huron St.+ MLive

- ➤ Sarah Schemanske, a STEM teacher at Wines Elementary with 10 years of experience, was named one of 16 nationally recognized Project Lead the Way Launch Outstanding Teachers for 2025-26—an honor for her hands-on, inquiry-based teaching style. She continues to inspire her students at Ann Arbor Public Schools. MLive

- ➤ Federal officials said that the bad dioxane plume from the old Gelman Sciences facility should be added as a Superfund site (in March 2024), but the list change is still not finished (leaving locals waiting for help with cleanup). MLive
