- ➤ Starbucks at 1214 S. University Ave will close on Friday, Oct 31 as its building is demolished for an 18-story apartment high-rise. A sign thanked customers and noted that transfers will be offered to other open locations—part of a larger restructuring plan. MLive
- ➤ BrightWorks, a local coworking space, will open its third downtown location at 255 E. Liberty St. next February—pending final construction plans—and will offer three membership levels starting at $75 per month with lounges, meeting rooms and a kitchen. MLive

- ➤ Daylight Saving Time ends on Nov. 2, 2025, when clocks will fall back one hour and residents gain an extra hour of sleep—manual clocks need adjusting since most devices update automatically. MLive
