- ➤ Joan Jett, a rock legend and longtime animal rights advocate, appeared on a PETA billboard at 700 W. Cross St. in Ypsilanti—urging Domino's to add vegan cheese to its U.S. menus; the ad stands less than a half-mile from a Domino's location and about 10 miles from its headquarters as part of a campaign that also offered free dairy-free pizza slices and made stock purchases. The effort calls for a more humane menu option and highlights that such cheese is available in other countries. MLive
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Powerful organizations including OpenAI and the University of Michigan plan to build several data centers in southeast Michigan, with a project in Saline Township scheduled to begin early next year after a settlement that contributed $14 million to local services.
