  • Former Dean Harold Johnson, the first Black dean at UM’s School of Social Work, died peacefully Oct. 13 in his Ann Arbor home—he was 99 and his leadership was credited with relocating the school to a new Central Campus building.  MLive

  • Ann Arbor Police Department issued a public apology on Sunday for its infamous 1994 DNA dragnet—an effort that involved racial profiling—while law enforcement and elected officials acknowledged past mistakes.  MLive
