- ➤ A new database shows University of Michigan's 54,000+ employees earned a full-time average of $101,476.84 and a median of $85,562.73 in 2025. The salary report released Tuesday, Dec. 9 indicates head coach Dusty May earned $4.6 million, making him the highest-paid employee. MLive

- ➤ At a Dec. 8 City Council meeting, Ann Arbor officials proposed SPROUT, an unarmed response program for handling 911 calls by social workers. Set for 2026, the pilot will support mental health and substance challenges (with joint police responses) while keeping its records separate from law enforcement. MLive

- ➤ Drivers will access the new 570-space Zina Pitcher Parking Structure next Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Catherine Street and Zina Pitcher Place next to the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion that opened Nov. 23. The facility uses license plate recognition for a smoother entry and exit. MLive
