- ➤ Ann Arbor’s first Chick-fil-A opened Dec. 12 at 3310 Washtenaw Ave, with over 20 people lining up at 6:30 a.m. Friday + customers wearing cow-print clothing received a free entrée to mark the debut. MLive
- ➤ Construction is underway on JD's Stage Bistro, Jeff Daniels' new music venue and restaurant in Chelsea. The venue will feature a handcrafted cherry wood door, a 1920s-style chandelier, and an Art Deco marquee, with design inspired by local history to create a welcoming space for dining & live music. - ➤ The University of Michigan released a salary report Tuesday, Dec. 9 that shows earnings for celebrity faculty including film director John Cameron Mitchell, journalist Kara Swisher, and Grammy-winning composers, not counting bonuses.
