13 at 1220 S. University Ave and left students nostalgic for its fun, multi-floor layout and role as a local gathering spot—many expressed concern that new luxury high-rises might erase the neighborhood’s character.
The University of Michigan Library's Screen Arts Mavericks and Makers Collection acquired Lawrence Kasdan's film archive, including screenplays from Star Wars and Indiana Jones, organized by film studies librarian Philip Hallman.
Researchers will access his 1980s work while the remaining archive is organized over 18 months.
