About:
Madam Spider Collective invites you into a space of remembrance, reclamation, and collective becoming on Friday, November 13, at 5:00 PM at Riverside Arts Center’s Off Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Through an immersive weaving of art, movement, music, and shared experience, we gather to explore the wisdom carried within and between us, honoring the stories, relationships, and ancestral legacies that shape our individual and collective existence.
Madam Spider Collective invites us into a unified realm of ancestral cognizance as a channel for collective intelligence. Our dreams ask us to connect beyond the veil.
Our collaboration weaves a web of energetic revival, as we acknowledge and release intergenerational wounds through education, empowerment, and embodiment.
Our visual art and musical practices are joined with the sacred fire of yoga, a powerful pathway for energetic reintegration, relational accountability, and collective transformation.
We recognize that the area now known as Ypsilanti, also known as Moguago’s Town, is part of the ancestral and contemporary homelands of the Bodéwadmi (Potawatomi), Odawa, Ojibwe, and Wyandot peoples. We acknowledge the foundations of this region and nation. We honor the interwoven resilience, creativity, and enduring presence of Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities in Ypsilanti and beyond, past, present, and future.
We invite you to join us in this unfolding. Come as you are, with your curiosity, your stories, your questions, and your unique ways of knowing. Together, we will explore what becomes possible when we gather with intention, bear witness to our interconnectedness, and make space for the wisdom, creativity, and transformation that emerge in community.
There is room for you in this web.
