About this event
Choose Your Experience: Full-Day Workshop or Morning Only! We offer TWO ticket options for this event:
OPTION 1: FULL-DAY WORKSHOP
Enjoy the complete experience! Spend 2.5 hours in the morning creating your needle-felted winter scene, take a one-hour lunch break, then return for 2 hours of framing and finishing. You'll learn how to mount and frame your artwork, with the option to decorate your wooden frame with folk-inspired painted motifs. You'll leave with a completed, framed piece of winter art!
OPTION 2: MORNING-ONLY WORKSHOP (2.5 HOURS)
Love needle felting but don't need the framing session? Join us for the morning workshop only! You'll create the same beautiful winter artwork as our full-day participants and take your finished felt piece home, unframed, to display or frame however you choose.
Both ticket options include the complete morning needle-felting workshop. The afternoon framing session is included only with the full-day ticket.
Morning Session: Painting with Wool
2.5 Hours | Included with Both Ticket Options
Discover the relaxing art of needle felting as you create a charming winter scene using wool as your paint and a felting needle as your brush!
Choose from four seasonal designs, including a cheerful cardinal, a cozy winter cottage, snowy evergreens, and a folk-inspired winter motif.
You'll learn how to layer and blend wool fibers, combine colors, and add fine details to create a flat, painterly piece of fiber art. Our step-by-step instruction makes this workshop enjoyable for beginners and those with previous needle-felting experience.
Morning-only participants will take their completed felt artwork home at the end of this session.
Afternoon Session: Framing, Finishing & Optional Folk Painting
2 Hours | Full-Day Ticket Only
Complete your creative experience by learning how to mount and frame your needle-felted winter scene!
In this hands-on session, you'll learn how to prepare and mount your artwork, measure and cut Plexiglas, and use flat offset canvas clips to secure your felt piece in a wooden frame.
You'll also have the option to personalize your frame with simple folk-inspired painting motifs, including flowers, leaves, berries, and decorative patterns. Prefer a natural wooden frame? That's perfectly fine, too!
You'll leave with a beautifully finished piece of winter artwork, ready to display or give as a handmade gift.
Lunch Break: 1 Hour (Full-Day Participants Only)
We'll take a one-hour break between sessions. You're welcome to head off-site for lunch or bring a packed lunch to enjoy at the studio. Lunch is not provided.
